As Powerwave introduces new technology to fully support its customers' needs, we also must discontinue some legacy products, enabling customers to migrate to more robust RF solutions. Powerwave will cease production of numerous Antenna, TMA, CIN and Repeater products. Please check the EOL Product Part Number List for Last Time Buy and Last Time Delivery dates.

2: Why are products being discontinued?
A: As part of our continued commitment to deliver market-leading products and technologies that contribute to more effective global telecommunications - we have defined a long-term vision that will help your organization reach a greater level of productivity. One step in executing this vision is consolidation of products to provide customers with a more robust antenna, base station and/or coverage system solution.

3: When will products be discontinued?
A: Beginning March 31, 2005 - December 31, 2006 Powerwave will cease production of numerous products on various dates. Please check the EOL Product Part Number List to find the Last Time Buy date for Powerwave product(s). We currently offer a transition plan that will enable you to upgrade your systems at a very low cost, with minimal disruption to your organization.

4: Can I still purchase any of the EOL products?
A: Yes, you can purchase these products. Check the EOL Product Part Number List for the specific products you are interested in for the Last Time Buy date.

5: How long will Powerwave support these products? Who will provide this support?
A: Powerwave customers with service contracts will continue to receive support based upon their individual contractual agreements. This support will help our valued customers migrate from any one of their current Powerwave products to one of the next generation products listed in the EOL Product Part Number List.

6: Why should I upgrade to a next generation replacement product?
A: Powerwave is moving the industry forward with integrated solutions that speed up time to market, reduce clutter on the tower, streamline deployment and take efficiency to new heights. The next generation replacement product provides a significant benefit to our customers. Our system solutions allow our customers low-cost deployment, accessibility features, ability to extend the solution beyond the ordinary, advanced functionality and superior quality.

7: Will my existing product(s) transition a next generation product?
A: Yes, some products will transition to next generation products, if available (please refer to the attached EOL Product Part Number List to verify if your products will have a next generation product replacement). However, many of our customers have customized their installations or have integrated other products into various client/server architectures. Some of these customizations or architectures may not be supported by Powerwave. For customers whose Powerwave product implementations cannot be transitioned to a next generation product, we recommend that you call your local Powerwave representative for more information and/or assistance.

9: What if I do not have Service Support for my legacy products?
A: Powerwave offers a competitive program to facilitate the transition to next generation replacement products. If you do not have a valid Service Support contract, please contact the Powerwave Customer Service center at 1-972-950-5000 (CT) or USSales@pwav.com.

10: When should I migrate my product?
A: Although you can continue using Powerwave EOL products, we recommend that you begin migrating your applications as soon as possible.

11: How do I start the transition process?

A: First, contact your Powerwave account representative and express interest in upgrading your applications. Customers with a valid Service Support contract can reach their account representative by contacting the Powerwave Customer Service Center at 1-972-950-5000 (CT) or USSales@pwav.com

12: What if I choose not to upgrade?

A: You have the option to upgrade your existing product(s). If you do not wish to exercise this option, you may continue to use Powerwave products. However, Powerwave will not support these EOL products after the date listed in the official EOL Part Number List unless you are a Powerwave customer with a service contract. If so, you will continue to receive support based upon your individual contractual agreement.

13: When does the Last Time Buy offer expire?
A: Depending on which Powerwave product you currently own, the Last Time Buy date will be listed in the EOL Part Number List and the transitions must be completed by the date.
